* Le Pont du Gard : (5 mn)
Merveille de l'Antiquité, classé au patrimoine mondial par l'Unesco.
The Pont du Gard is an aqueduct constructed by the Roman Empire. It was added to UNESCO's list of World Heritage Sites in 1985.

* Uzès : (20 mn)
Premier d'Uché de France, créé au Vème Siècle après J-C, classée "ville d'art et d'hitoire", Uzès benéficie d'une renommée internationale, de nombreux touristes viennent arpenter ses rues et
admirer son patrimoine.
Uzès was a small Gallo-Roman oppidum (administrative settlement), created in the 5th century AD. It is listed "ville d'art et d'histoire" (town of art and history).

* Nîmes : (20 mn)
VIème Siècle avant J-C ; 2000 ans plus tard, la Ville conserve encore de multiples témoignages de la splendeur romaine.
Nîmes is the capital of the Gard department. It has a rich history, dating back to the Roman Empire and it is a popular tourist destination. It dates from the 6th century BC.

* Avignon : (20 mn)
Célèbre ville romaine du Ier Savant J-C ; aujourd'hui capitale culturelle avec son Festival reconnu mondialement.
Avignon is a commune in the Vaucluse department. It is well known for its Palais des Papes (Palace of the Popes) and the Pont d'Avignon (see the picture below). In 1033, Avignon passed to the
Holy Roman Empire.
Today it is famous for its theatre festival, held annually. The Avignon Festival comprises traditional theatrical events as well as other art forms such as dance, music,
cinema...

* Arles : (30 mn)
Cité romaine et romane dont les richesses architecturales fascinent toujours les visiteurs du monde entier.
Arles is located in the Bouches-du-Rhônes department. The Romans took the town in 123 BC and expanded it into an important city. The painter Vincent van Gogh was fascinated by the Provençal
landscapes, he produced over 300 paintings and drawings during his time in Arles.

Le pays d'Arles est constitué de trois paysages différents :
- La Camargue : territoire où les hommes vivent avec les chevaux, les taureaux, les oiseaux, le ciel et l'eau.
Land where men live with horses, bulls, birds, sky and water.

- Le massif des Alpilles : superbe massif qui s'élève au coeur de la Provence et domine de nombreux villages provençaux et pittoresques : Les Baux

* Tarascon : (15 mn)
Tarascon possède un chateau particulièrement bien conservé, commencé en 1400 par Louis II d'Anjou et terminé par le fils du roi René.
Tarascon has a particularly well conserved castle, its construction was started in 1400 by Louis II of Anjou and ended by the son of King René.
* Les plages/ The beaches : (à
moins d'une heure/ less than an hour driving distance)
Les Saintes Maries de la Mer, Aigues-Mortes, le Grau du Roi, Port Camargue, la Grande Motte...
